Eloise Hutchinson's Happy New Year

Descriptor: We start with various images of Lotto winner Eloise Hutchinson outside at the press conference, holding a cheque for ‘£1,346,840’. Photographers are taking pictures. We then see Eloise sat, inside, talking to members of the press.

Eloise Hutchinson: I was actually at home, it was, I didn’t check it until New Year’s Day, and it wasn’t ‘til the afternoon, em, I didn’t find out how much it was until about 8 o’clock that evening when I got a call back, and they told me that I’d won £1.3 million.

Descriptor: Next, we see a shot of Eloise spraying a champagne bottle, before we once again return to the press conference inside.

Eloise Hutchinson: I just couldn’t believe it. I was just thinking, what would you spend that sort of money on?

Descriptor: We now see Eloise and her partner holding champagne glasses with the National Lottery crossed fingers logo printed on the sides, as well as shots of more photographers before returning to the press conference inside.

Eloise Hutchinson: Me and my boyfriend had actually spoke about it on New Year’s Eve, saying ‘what would you do if you ever won the lottery?’ and I said that I would buy a house and, go on holiday and stuff like that, so…

Descriptor: Eloise, and partner are outside spraying more champagne. We then return to the conference where Eloise is holding a notepad detailing how she has spent her winnings so far. We also see shots of reporters.

Eloise Hutchinson: Em, I bought 2 iPads, took my dog to the vets, em, I went and got my nails done, em, bought a few Scratchcards, clothes shopping, petrol [laughs], that sort of thing.

Descriptor: We see a close up of Eloise’s giant cheque, upon which her prize amount as detailed earlier is printed. Next, we return to the press conference before finally seeing Eloise and partner outside, facing the camera, clinking their champagne glasses.

Eloise Hutchinson: I want to write a list that I know exactly, what a million pounds would go on, like in the future.
