Wayne Hughes' winning phone call

We see various screen shots of the college buildings. We then see Wayne Hughes smiling and holding a large cheque in the sum of £1,117,779. The shot widens to show Wayne standing with a view of a bay behind him. We see photographers taking photos and then a close-up of Wayne shaking a bottle of champagne and it spurting in front of him. The shot widens and we see Wayne vigorously shaking the bottle of champagne and it spurting everywhere in front of him. More shots of the photographers and then a shot of Wayne holding the bottle of champagne and a National Lottery glass with some champagne in it. The shot finished with a close up of the champagne glass fading to a blur.

Descriptor: We now see a cameraman filming Wayne's shoulder where he has a tattoo. There is a close up of the tattoo which says Aug 2010 and Wayne's list of lottery winning numbers.

Wayne: My mother called me and told me that I'd won it.

Descriptor: Now we see the man sitting in front of a white screen with The National Lottery logo on it.

Wayne: But I didn't believe her so I, I rushed down to her house and I, I checked it. Still didn't believe it but then I still signed it and hid the ticket. But um, I couldn't sleep that night and it was just racing through my head all the time. And I don't think until I actually made the phone call to Camelot itself that it, that I actually realised that it was a winning ticket. But I'm still in, I'm not believing it now to be honest with you.

Descriptor: Now we see a slightly wider shot of the man telling us about his win.

Wayne: I'm still playing the lottery, I still, I've actually just put it on for Saturday. Um, I've played it from the beginning but it was only ever on a Saturday then. I did start with one line and then I moved to three and I've kept the three going, the Wednesdays and the Saturdays ever since so I shall still be playing it yeah.

Wayne: It's life changing isn't it really so er, the way I'm feeling I, I can't explain, it's, I'm just so mixed, I'm up and down. I just, I can't explain it.
