The Caswells rake in the cash

Descriptor: First we see the EuroMillions logo on a blue screen. As the Narrator speaks we see shots of the Caswells holding a large cheque in front of the press pointing at the amount.

Narrator: Brian and Joan Caswell from Bolton have jumped to The National Lottery rich list after winning a staggering £24.9 million, banking half of the top prize in the EuroMillions draw on Friday the 12th of June. Brian had won £10 the previous week but told his newsagent he was confident of a bigger win.

Descriptor: We now see Brian talking on front of the EuroMillions logo screen with a white on blue caption ‘Brian Caswell won £24,951,269.40'.

Brian: But when I went up to the counter I said I'm on a roll. I, I'm on a roll I'm, here's another winner check that. And of course it was.

Descriptor: Now we see Brian and Joan shaking Champagne and spraying it in front of them with views of the press photographers taking photos.

Narrator: Discovering their win was £24.9 million, Brian and Joan are still in shock.

Descriptor: We see Brian and Joan sitting in chairs in front of a white and blue EuroMillions Screen.

Brian: Really it's not sunk in yet you know.

Joan: It's like another world, it's like another thing that you read about in the paper and it's not you.

Descriptor: Now we see the shots of the press mingling and Brian and Joan toasting with champagne and Brian holding a garden fork over his shoulder whilst Narrator speaks.

Narrator: But despite raking in the cash Brian, a keen gardener stayed down to earth.

Descriptor: We go back to Brian and Joan sitting in chairs in front of a white and blue EuroMillions screen. Cuts to a wider shot to include Eamon Holmes sitting to the side of Brian and Joan listening to them talking.

Brian: Well I simply went to the allotment um, and did some weeding, did some you know er, a bit of feed on the tomatoes and it took you back to reality in some ways.

Descriptor: Now we see Brian and Joan holding champagne glasses and kissing each other whilst being photographed with a shot of the press photographers chatting.

Narrator: But the people of Bolton were already trying to work out who the mystery winner was.

Descriptor: Back to Brian, Joan and Eamon sitting in chairs in front of the white and blue EuroMillions screen chatting with a close up of Joan.

Joan: Our next door neighbour said I believe someone's won the lottery, someone round here.

Brian: Yeah.

Joan: He said they said in the paper shop that it was an old guy with white hair so Brian said well you're an old guy with white hair, it could be you.

Descriptor: We now see a shot of two champagne bottoms on the grass with a blue sky above whilst narrator talks.

Narrator: So how will the Caswell's spend the money?

Descriptor: We see Brian and Joan back in the studio in front of the white and blue EuroMillions Logo chatting.

Joan: It's nice to be able to do things for friends and family that you've often thought about to make life easier for them.

Descriptor: Joan and Brian waving in front of a white and maroon helicopter whilst narrator talks.

Narrator: And Brian has a few plans of his own.

Descriptor: We are now back in the studio where Brian and Joan are sitting in chairs in front of the EuroMillions screen. The shot widens to include Eamon Holmes and then focuses in on Brian and Joan again.

Brian: Every Friday there's a group of all my friends and we go in the local pub and we play dominoes. And er, my arch rival at this domino table and I said do you know Clive where we've played for 23 years I'm upping the stakes.

Descriptor: Now we see Brian and Joan inside the helicopter whilst photographers take pictures of them. Shots of other photographers sitting on a grass bank taking photos. The helicopter then comes in to shot from behind a tree as it flies away.

Narrator: And although Brian and Joan are keeping their feet firmly on the ground they couldn't resist the offer of a stylish ride home.
