Descriptor: First we see various shots of Sarah leaning against her Range Rover.
Narrator: She's young, she's glamorous, and she's got £3 million safely tucked away in her bank account. This is Sarah Cockings.
Descriptor: We now meet Sarah Cockings, a lottery winner, who sits at a table in her garden.
Sarah Cockings: I wasn't a religious lottery player, I played it now and again on and off from about the age of 16.
Descriptor: We now see a photo of Sarah and two other girls jumping for joy.
Narrator: But in 2005, whilst doing a social degree at university, Sarah ended up winning over £3 million on The National Lottery.
Descriptor: Once again we see Sarah sitting at a garden table, as she describes the day that she won. We then Sarah playing with her dogs in the garden.
Sarah: It was a Saturday, the day I won on, and I went into the local post office where my sister Alex worked. And normally I would just do a lucky dip if I was going to do it, because it's normally really busy like the little stand place, so I was just like oh well, it's really quiet so I may as well just do like my own lines. I went to bed, it was about twelve o'clock, and I was on the internet and I remember just being like oh my god I've won a tenner. Dead chuffed, and then I was like oh god I've got four numbers, five numbers, six numbers. Oh my God, and I was like “Daddy I've just won the lottery”. So I gave him my ticket and he just goes over to Teletext and he was just like, “Yeah love, you've won, you've won The National Lottery.” And that's how it was, £3,045,705. And it was just the craziest, but most amazing thing, like, ever. And I'm thinking “God, my life's never going to be the same again.”
Narrator: And Sarah's been happy to share the wealth
Descriptor: We now see the exterior of Sarah's house, before we see her in the kitchen.
Sarah: The few things that I've bought when I won were my mum and dad's house. I think I'd be really sad if I didn't, like, have my family involved and stuff. I remember when I won as well, my dad saying, like, “You've got another thing coming if you think you're going to be treated like a princess.”
Descriptor: We now see a photo of Sarah with her sisters, holding National Lottery champagne flutes.
Narrator: Having a millionaire sister does bring some benefits.
Descriptor: We now meet Emma Cockings, Sarah's sister, who sits beside her in the garden, discussing what having millionaire sister is like.
Emma: I'm a bit more jealous of her wardrobe, but I can always borrow things if I need to, can't I Sarah? Get that on camera!
Sarah: It helps that Emma's a lovely size 6 and I'm a large 10.
Descriptor: Once again we see a photo of Sarah and her sisters with National Lottery champagne flutes, standing in a convertible car.
Narrator: As well as fancy clothes, Sarah likes fancy cars.
Descriptor: Once again we see Sarah sitting in the garden, as she discusses the cars that she has. We then see various shots of the exterior and interior of Sarah's Range Rover.
Sarah: When I first won I bought my first car which was a Mini Cooper S convertible in the June and she was gorgeous, she was called Bonnie, she was h...... blue, I really went all out, just got the full kit on her oh, really stunning. I loved her. For some reason I then stumbled upon a Range Rover Sport, which later gets called Ebony. And she is now in the front drive there. And I remember the day I picked it up in the showroom, there was a couple who obviously didn't know it was for me because I was like sorting out all the like money and things, and I heard her going to her husband, “God if I ever win the lottery, that's the car I'm like gonna get”, and I remember thinking “Hee hee, I have, and I'm off.” But no, she's gorgeous, and she's quite big obviously and I'm just not a very good parker.
Descriptor: We now see Sarah walking along a street, before we see various shots of her getting a manicure.
Narrator: Sarah's lottery win has allowed her to be pampered by life's luxuries, but she also has more pragmatic ambitions for her future.
Descriptor: As Sarah has her manicure done, she discusses her plans for the future.
Sarah: My mum and dad, they always pushed, like, academic studies, and you know get your A levels, get your degree. I should really be going back to Uni this October, but I would love to do midwifery so I might try and make sure that I've got all the qualifications to get onto that course and see what happens.
Descriptor: For the final time we see Sarah sitting in her garden.
Sarah: Up till now there isn't for me a bad thing about being a millionaire, I've loved every part of it.
