Descriptor: First we meet Vicky Radcliffe from Camelot, who explains what is happening. As Vicky speaks, we see Neil Jones and Julie Kirkham coming down a flight of stairs.
Vicky Radcliffe: We're here today in Stoke-on-Trent to meet our latest winners that have joined the Lotto Millionaires Club. It's Neil Jones and his partner Julie Kirkham, they've won £2.4 million on The National Lottery.
Descriptor: We now see Neil Jones and Julie Kirkham at the press conference. As they speak, we see them being photographed with a large National Lottery cheque and holding glasses of champagne.
Neil Jones: Christmas was paid for, we managed to sort Christmas, we've got thirteen pounds left. Em, I went across to the local Bargain Booze and I was standing by the counter and I saw the, the lad, Christian, who's behind the counter. I said, "I'll have three lucky dips please". And we saw an advert on the television for the Lotto, I said, "Oh well, we haven't checked the tickets yet". I saw I got three numbers, I thought, ten pounds, brilliant. Then I saw four numbers, then I saw, I checked the last number, I thought, I've got five numbers, and I checked the second to last number, and that was it. And it was like, "Julie! Get up here, I think we've won it". And, ah, she goes, "If you're messing me about", she was going to smack me, so, she was, "I'm going to smack you". And, ah, so.
Julie Kirkham: I did say that.
Descriptor: We now see a wide shot of Julie holding a large National Lottery cheque and Neil spraying champagne from a bottle, before once again seeing them at the press conference.
Neil Jones: So I thought, we were upstairs and I said, "Just check the ticket", my hand was, ah, I couldn't keep it still, it was shaking. And Julie checked it, it's real. I think one of the first things was get some sleep, because we've had the ticket in the house all, and it's been in my wallet, I've been walking round.
Julie Kirkham: We've had in a safe, we've had it...
Neil Jones: We've had in the safe, and the safe is not even hidden, and you can pick it up and walk off with it.
Descriptor: We now see Julie and Neil with glasses of champagne, being photographed holding a football shirt between them, before once again returning to the press conference. As they speak, we see them being photographed once again.
Neil Jones: Me and my son we, we go, we sing in the local pubs and clubs and that and, em, we'll just carry on doing that, but more as a hobby I think.
Neil Jones: I don't sing like that.
Descriptor: For the last time we see Neil and Julie at the press conference. As they speak we once again see them being photographed.
Neil Jones: You hear of other people and it, it, when it happens to yourself it's just, you, it's just mind blowing, you can't, you can't get your head round it, can you?
Julie Kirkham: No, I can't.
Neil Jones: £2.4 million is just off the wall, off the scale.
