The Shaws' Christmas win

Karen Shaw: We opened our raffle tickets and my son looked it up on his, ah, phone and he said, “I think you’d better look at this mum, it’s a winner!”

Karen Shaw: Ah, shock, pure shock.

Anthony Shaw: Shock.

Karen Shaw: That we’d win the Lottery, I just didn’t think it would ever happen to us.

Karen Shaw: We have, em, a family syndicate for every week, so, but this was just a little bit of an extra, stocking filler really, for Christmas for everybody.

Karen Shaw: Myself and, and Tony, and both the kids, winning the Lottery is just financial security for all of us now.

Karen Shaw: I think my children are going to spend their part of it on buying a house each, and just until we’ve got the kids settled, we’ve decided we’re just going to go on an Alaskan cruise.
