Descriptor: First we meet Simon Horne from Camelot, as the captions indicate. Simon introduces the Lotto winning couple, and he is stood outside the hotel where the press conference is being held.
Simon Horne: We’re here today to meet Chris and Sue Bowers, who matched all six numbers in last Saturday’s Lotto Rollover draw, and have won nearly three and a half million pounds.
Descriptor: We now see Chris Bowers and his wife Sue as they make their way up some steps towards the room where the press conference is being held. Next, we see them sat being interviewed. As they talk, we see shots, both interior and exterior, of camera crews taking photos as well as filming the couple outside holding an oversized cheque. A close up of the cheque reveals that they have won “£3,497,114”.
Chris Bowers: I’m a gadget man. I’ve just got myself a new iPhone; and Saturday night, we were sitting there, and we just put it on the search for the lottery and, it come up with 6 little red dots and a tick. I was shaking not quite as much as this then, and I said to Sue, “I think we’ve won”, but then we, eh, just sat.
Sue Bowers: Didn’t sleep. Just didn’t sleep.
Chris Bowers: We just sat there, all night mainly.
Sue Bowers: Haven’t slept properly for three nights!
Descriptor: We now see Chris spraying champagne outside, while Sue stands with him holding the cheque. Photographers continue to take photos before we see a close up shot of a National Lottery champagne glass in the foreground. We then return to the press conference where Sue and Chris continue to talk before seeing a shot of them outside holding their oversized cheque, as well as a glass of champagne each.
Chris Bowers: I usually do it online, and, err, wait for the emails. I’ve had a few saying ‘Congratulations’, and it was £2.60, £100, and this time, I, I thought I’ll go and get a ticket, so I went in, and just wrote out any numbers, and just stuck the ticket in. And that was the shock because, there was no emails or nothing, and I always wanted to see it come up on the email, but it was, err, equally as good on the old iPhone.
Descriptor: Once again, we see Sue and Chris outside holding the cheque with their champagne, while being filmed and having their photos taken by various camera crews that have assembled on the lawn. Chris holds up his National Lottery champagne glass. Again, we then join them both inside where they continue to respond to questions.
Chris Bowers: Yeah, I will get a nice new car, and Sue will just, I don’t know.
Sue Bowers: No, I don’t know.
Chris Bowers: She likes her jewellery, but, she’ll struggle spending it first of all. She really will.
Sue Bowers: Got nothing yet, yeah. Take me a while.
Descriptor: Finally, we see Chris, who has his arm around Sue outside. They are smiling and holding up their champagne glasses while photographers take their photo. We then cut to a close up of them laughing as they continue to hold up their glasses.
