Lottery presenter OJ Borg takes time out to tell us about his own luck, and how he deals with pre-show nerves.
Descriptor: First we see a black screen with a caption which reads, “Lottery HQ Presents...” We then see a graphical shot of OJ Borg talking, through a caption which reads, “OJ Borg”. We then see a caption which reads, “Do you have a lucky number?” before seeing a close up shot of OJ Borg being interviewed on a sofa.
OJ Borg: I’ve always wanted a lucky number, but I’ve never had one. Everyone else goes, “Oh, yeah, seven.” Seven’s a cliché, you can’t have seven, can’t go thirteen because that’s also a cliché, because that’s like you’re trying to be clever. So... No I don’t have a lucky number, but I will have one now. Ten. Eleven, no, eleven—four, I’ll go with four.
Descriptor: Once again we see a black screen, with a caption which reads, “Do you have any lucky charms?” before going back to OJ Borg on the sofa.
OJ Borg: There’s a belt that I bought in LA, I was in LA, ah, fifteen years ago, and I bought this belt and it’s, I bought it off an old Navaho Indian, it’s quite scary, it’s probably haunted, I’ll probably find an old burial ground under my house because of it. But no, I’ve, I’ve had this belt and I love it, but it broke last week, so I’ve got to find someone to re-weld it. I love that belt.
Descriptor: Again we see a black screen with a caption which reads, “Do you have any lucky mates?” before going back to OJ Borg on the sofa.
OJ Borg: A mate of mine lived on a road in Leicester where two people won jackpots there on the lottery, seriously, and he was like, he had to, he tried to get his parents to move at one point, because he was like, well there’s no way it’s ever going to be three people. Literally, two doors down, and about eight doors down, they won jackpots.
Descriptor: Again we see a black screen with a caption which reads, “Do you have any pre-show rituals?” before going back to OJ Borg on the sofa for the final time.
OJ Borg: Whenever you do anything on TV or radio, you can get quite nervous. And I, you sometimes get like a, you might have done this, like literally if you’ve done something and you’ve got nervous you get like (makes noise and gestures to indicate a dry mouth) there like that. I find that if you eat a banana, all the potassium and the goodness in the fruit tends to stop that happening. So I guarantee that you will always be less nervous with a lucky banana.
