Paul Kibler: I said to the wife, I said, em, I’m going to check me lottery, so the wife went to, to bed like, and em, four numbers I recognised that I’d got, I counted them and I thought, “oh I’ve got six numbers”. I said, “I think you’d better check these” I said, she says, “you can’t have!” I… I… I never slept until Wednesday night, I didn’t sleep at all. I mean the wife slept, I mean she was snoring away [Marie and the audience laugh]. But em, you know.
Descriptor: We now see more shots of Marie and Paul Kibler outside celebrating with their cheque and glasses of champagne, before returning to the press conference indoors.
Paul Kibler: When we did ring Camelot up and he checked me numbers, he said… [Paul’s voice breaks with emotion] …he said, em, “yes, you’ve, you’ve won the jackpot!”
Marie Kibler: We both cried, you know, didn’t we, because we couldn’t believe it.
Paul Kibler: No.

Paul Kibler: It means that my wife can, can, em, give up her job now.
Marie Kibler: Which I have, I’ve retired this morning! [laughs]

Paul Kibler: Well obviously we’re going to pay the mortgage off first, and then, we are going to move house, and then em, I’m going to buy myself a new car, my dream car, em, a Mercedes.

Paul Kibler: I’ve been doing the lottery for probably about 17, 18 years. I’d never miss it, even if I was going away I’d make sure I did put my lottery on, you know, in case I didn’t put it on and I won like. I have three lines and, yeah, I stick to the same numbers every week and I never change them.
Descriptor: We now see a shot of a photographer, before seeing Marie and Paul Kibler being interviewed outside.
Paul Kibler : I nearly died last year and, you know it brings [Paul’s voice breaks with emotion], it brings it all back like, you know.
Marie Kibler: How lucky we are and…
Paul Kibler: So, today’s been the icing on the cake, really.
