How to play: Lotto

Descriptor: First we see the Lotto logo which animates in, before spinning to reveal a one pound coin. The coin then spins to reveal the National Lottery logo before we see text that reads "£25 Billion", followed by text that reads "Good Causes". The Lotto logo then reappears.

Narrator: Lotto is the UK's favourite National Lottery game and the biggest millionaire maker. And it still only costs a pound. And by playing any of our games, you've helped to raise over £25 billion for Good Causes in the UK. OK, let's take a closer look at Lotto.

Descriptor: At the top of the screen, next to the Lotto logo, appears text that reads "How to play Lotto". We then see text with the seven days of the week. Lotto logos appear in place of Saturday and Wednesday, indicating Lotto draw days. Next we see the online Lotto game page, with a star icon appearing bottom right with the text "Play now". Next, we zoom into a button on screen that reads "Open Account". This button highlights.

Narrator: Lotto draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday. The easiest way to play is right here online. If you haven't registered already, simply click the "Play now" link on this page to register your details and open an account. Once you've registered, you're ready to play Lotto.

Descriptor: We now zoom into the section of the page indicating how you choose which draws you wish to enter, followed by an option that allows you to choose how many weeks you would like to enter for, including a subscription option that reads "Continuous". Then, six random numbers are entered into the boxes below, and the "Lucky Dip" button is highlighted against the next row. We then zoom down to the "Play now" button which is highlighted.

Narrator: First choose which draw you want to enter, and for how many weeks you want to play. You can play up to eight weeks in advance, or, start a subscription and you'll automatically be entered into Lotto draws. You'll never miss out! Then choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or simply select "Lucky Dip" to have your numbers chosen randomly. Submit the form and you're done. Easy. We'll contact you if you've won. Inside the store, we see an image of the playstation, followed by a Lotto play slip which is completed graphically before being put through the terminal. A Lotto ticket then appears.

Narrator: So, how do you win? Every Lotto draw gives you six main numbers and the bonus ball. Just match with at least three main numbers and you're a winner. The more you match, the more you win. Match all six main numbers and you're a jackpot winner. And with five main numbers and the bonus ball, you still win big. Narrator: If no-one wins the Lotto Jackpot then it rolls over to the next week. This can become a Double Rollover, a Triple Rollover and even a Quadruple Rollover. If the Lotto jackpot is not won by the fifth week, it is then shared amongst those who have matched with the most numbers.
