Descriptor: First we see a black screen with a white caption which reads, "The National Lottery funds around 103 Good Causes in every UK postcode".
Narrator: The National Lottery funds around 103 Good Causes in every UK postcode. None of these would be possible without the funds raised by you playing National Lottery games.
Descriptor: We now see a black background with a white caption which reads, “TS4 3SA” before meeting Adrian Stanway and his friend. They are both holding National Lottery tickets and looking directly at the camera. We then see them both standing at the Prissick Plaza sign. As Adrian speaks, we see him and his friend performing stunts on a BMX, as well as seeing various aspects of the skate park.
Adrian: My name's Adrian Stanway. The National Lottery helped build us this skate park. I love BMXing, it's just the freedom of actually getting out on your bike, getting the adrenaline rush of scaring yourself senseless. Prissick Plaza's, ah, good for BMXing cos it's like a real street course, but away from all the traffic, and you can do anything you want there, there's little concrete ledges which you only normally find out in the street, don't normally get in a skate park. So it's a true representation of what you do actually ride out in the street. The lottery putting money towards a park, it's a good way to get more into the community, to get the kids off the streets, so it has done good things.
Descriptor: We now see a black background with a white caption which reads, “TS1 2JH” before meeting Matt Conant, a Co-ordinator for Youth Works. He is standing on a street holding up a National Lottery ticket, looking directly at the camera.
Matt: My name is Matt Conant. I'm the Youth Works Co-Ordinator.
Descriptor: We now see various aspects of Youth Works exterior and interior, before seeing Matt working on a computer.
Matt: Youth Works looks to engage with support, encourage and facilitate young people between thirteen and nineteen years old, to help them to move forward in their life, to motivate them.
Descriptor: We now see Matt and a colleague walking on the street wearing Youth Works jackets.
Matt: If we hadn't received National Lottery funding, then we would not have had the resources that we have, in order to make Youth Works happen, in order to set Youth Works up.
Descriptor: Once again we see various interior and exterior shots of Youth Works, and once again see Matt and his colleague outside, wearing Youth Works jackets. Lastly, we see a wide shot of Matt in his Youth Works jacket, holding up a National Lottery ticket and looking directly at the camera.
Matt: They come in and they use the equipment, and the activities that we put on are just a means for us to engage with them, to build relationships with them. The National Lottery funding has provided the backbone for the Youth Works Project.
Descriptor: Finally we see a black screen with a Teesside University logo and a white caption which reads, "Produced by Michael Abbott, Philip Dehany, Jesse Stephen".
