Gavin Davies drives away with a UK Millionaire Raffle win

Descriptor: First we see a Welsh flag flying from a flagpole. The camera then pulls back to show a large hotel. We see Gavin Davies speaking to camera inside the hotel.

Gavin Davies: It was advertised in the local newspaper that there was an unclaimed ticket in the Neath, Port Talbot area, which I nipped out to the car to get the tickets dated the 27th of December. Low and behold, £1 million!

Descriptor: Next we see Gavin on the steps of the hotel, spraying a bottle of champagne. A photographer is taking pictures. We then see Gavin speaking at a press conference in front of National Lottery and EuroMillions logos.

Gavin Davies: A million pounds is good to come at any time in your life, but me being 29 years old with a, with a young baby, [he claps], thumbs up, brilliant stuff.

Descriptor: We now see Gavin holding an oversized cheque, showing that he has won £1 million. We see him with the cheque, leaning against a Lamborghini sports car. We hear Gavin in voice-over as photographers take pictures of him in the car. We then see Gavin at the press conference.

Gavin Davies: Main thing I need, I need to get a property secured for myself and my family, a Lamborghini, and my son’s future. I mean I want to look after my son, look after my family, use the money wisely, invest, I won’t be wasting a penny, it’s a, with a bit of luck it’ll be £10 million soon.

Descriptor: We see more shots of Gavin holding the cheque in front of the car. We then return to Gavin at the press conference.

Gavin Davies: Yeah, there’ll be a wedding in the future, definitely but em, dates and so on I haven’t planned, but em, obviously I mean em, you know we’ll have a nice wedding now as opposed to a small wedding.

Descriptor: Next we see a close up of a car wheel which pans out to reveal the whole car, where we see Gavin holding his cheque. We then see shots of Gavin leaning against the car and having his picture taken by photographers, before seeing Gavin back talking inside at the press conference.

Gavin Davies: I’ve got very big business plans, I’ll be honest with you. I mean, as I say, I bought the Lamborghini, that’s em, that’s my fun out of the way. The rest is just, look after my family’s futures as I said, and live as happily ever after as they say.

Descriptor: We now see Gavin sat in the car with photographers surrounding him, followed by a close-up of him giving the ‘thumbs up’ sign, before once again seeing him speak at the press conference.

Gavin Davies: Yeah I’m going to treat my family and close friends to a holiday and, but once I come back, I’m looking at a new business man! [He holds both his thumbs up].

Descriptor: Finally, we see the car drive away, followed by a still frame close-up of Gavin giving the double thumbs up.
