EuroMillions TV ad: Hector Riva - Tuesday

Descriptor: First we see a servant opening curtains in an enormous room with an ocean view to wake a man, Hector. Hector is lying in a large bed with a sleeping mask on.

Servant: Good day, sir.

Hector: What day?

Servant: Tuesday, sir.

Descriptor: Hector now removes the mask and speaks directly to camera. As he speaks, we see shots of him working the room at a glamourous party, eating lobster on a private jet as his butler tucks in a napkin around his neck, checking his watch before going scuba diving and returning home on a speedboat.

Hector: Tuesday, the most boring day in the week.

Hector: Endless meetings; lunch on the run; clock watching at four; commuting home at five.

Descriptor: Hector raises his eyebrows knowingly at the camera. We now see him walk towards the camera talking directly to it, dressed in a white suit with a black shirt and sunglasses. At the bottom of the screen, we see a white caption which reads, “*Estimated Jackpot. Games Rules and Procedures apply. Players must be 18 or over. © National Lottery Commission 2011”. When he finishes talking, the camera pans to his servant holding out a tray for him to place his sunglasses.

Hector: So dull. But for you my friends, maybe not so dull anymore.

Descriptor: We now see the man sit down on a seat in the patio in his mansion, still speaking directly to the camera. The shot freezes and turns to grey, and a yellow caption which reads, “New Tuesday Draw 10th May £85 Million” appears on top.

Hector: Because EuroMillions have decided to make Tuesdays the most exciting day of the week.

Descriptor: The scene now changes to night time, with Hector in the same position on the patio. A party is going on behind him and a beautiful woman pulls him out of his chair to get him to join in. We then see him dancing with the EuroMillions logo and a white caption at the bottom of the screen which reads, “national-lottery.co.uk.”

Hector: It’s going to be so fun! My name is Hector Riva, welcome to my world.
