Armagh Syndicate Grabs Lotto Win

Descriptor:  First we see an oversized National Lottery cheque being presented to the Armagh syndicate, before we see two men.  The man of the right speaks about winning the lottery, and as he speaks, we see various shots of the syndicate having their photos taken with the oversized National Lottery cheque.

Man:  The draw was on the Wednesday night. We didn’t actually check our, our, our ticket until 24 hours later, so at 9 o’clock on, on, on Thursday night, um, Brendan who had picked the numbers, um, was told by Declan to, to check it.  Um, he checked it and, um we, he was overwhelmed.  Um, we rung Gillian, who was off that day and we all got together in, in work.  It is fantastic.

Descriptor:  We now meet Brendan, one of the syndicate members, who describes how the winning numbers were chosen.

Brendan:  Number 6 is my date of birth, um, 23 was my girlfriend’s anniversary, ah, eighteen’s my sister’s birthday, ah, 26 was my girlfriend’s birthday, and 32 and 44 I just picked at random.

Descriptor:  We now see further shots of the syndicate group having their photos taken with the oversized National Lottery cheque, before meeting Gillian, who describes what she would like to do with the money she has won.

Gillian:  Well, I always would have liked to take my four kids to Lapland, which I could never afford to do in the past, but this year we’ll definitely be there.

Descriptor:  For the final time we see the five members of the syndicate holding the oversized cheque and cheering as they are photographed.
