Descriptor: First we see a wide shot of people at Kensington Palace, together with a white caption which reads, "The Orangery, Kensington Palace," before various shots of National Lottery winners getting off buses and having their photos taken.

Narrator: National Lottery winners, with a total worth of over three hundred million pounds recently gathered together to celebrate an incredible lottery landmark, the creation of an amazing two thousand, five hundred millionaires, since the National Lottery first launched in 1994.

Descriptor: We now see various shots of a large cake which bears the National Lottery logo, before high speed shots of people moving around in the dining area, with a bottle of champagne close to the camera. We then see a close up of a cup of tea, and various shots of the guests drinking tea.

Narrator: Now one might be forgiven for thinking that champagne would be the tipple of choice to celebrate an occasion such as this, however, for the most part the bottles of bubbly remained on ice. Instead, many of our guests chose to mark this milestone with a good old fashioned cup of tea.

Descriptor: We now meet Anya Reynolds, who is a Senior Publicity Manager for Camelot. As she speaks, we see guests holding cups.

Anya Reynolds: We've have a long chat with winners over the last few years. We always think they, they, they jump for the champagne, as soon as they find out they've won, and in fact no, when they match those six numbers, the family normally sit down and think right, what we need is a good cuppa now. They seem to turn to tea or coffee, a lot, a lot quicker than they turn to champagne.

Descriptor: We now meet Niven Mitchell and his wife, who won £1.2 million.

Niven: Oh, when I found out I won the lottery, I put the kettle on and had a nice cup of tea.

Descriptor: We now meet Emma Cartwright, who won £6.5 million, who stands with another winner

Emma: When I won I was, em, at my home in, em, Liverpool, just cleaning up as you do on a Sunday and, em, I got the phonecall through, and the first thing I had, me, my mum making me a cup of tea, with two sugars to calm me down.

Descriptor: We now meet O J Borg, who is a Draw Show Host.

OJ: I think the reason tea came top of the pile, cos that's the first thing you do, you go, oh what am I going to do, I've won all this money? Cup of tea. I'm sure if they said what was the second drink, it would be something alcoholic.

Descriptor: We now meet Myleene Klass, who is a Draw Show Host. As she speaks, we see Myleene with Annette.

Myleene: I just can't believe that we're already on our two thousand five hundredth millionaire, and, and I've just, I've just met that actual winner, her name's Annette, and we're doing it in style, we, we're being very British about it, and celebrating with cups of tea.

Descriptor: We now see various shots of the guests, including seeing them congregated in front of the building, having a group photo taken.

Narrator: Since the lottery began, an average of thirteen new millionaires have been created every month. To date, the exclusive club is worth, in total, more than a whopping seven billion pounds. So, with that in mind, here's hoping for the creation of two thousand, five hundred more National Lottery millionaires in the years to come.

Descriptor: We now pull back to a wide shot of all the winners standing together, as they have a group photo taken.

Everyone: Hooray!
